Data used

Without an account, solo progress is stored locally. With an account, email, nickname, hashed password, preferences, progress and device data are used to provide and secure the service. The advertising age band is stored separately from learning age, without collecting an exact date of birth.

Purchases and RevenueCat

Apple or Google processes payments and keeps payment details. RevenueCat receives an opaque Rongowa billing identifier, the product, store environment, transaction events and Rongowa Plus entitlement status to present offers, restore purchases and synchronise access. The email address is not used as the RevenueCat identifier.

Advertising and age protection

When an ad is eligible, Rongowa checks the declared age band, country, platform, applicable consent and Plus status before making a request. Minors do not receive personalised advertising; if evidence or permission is missing, no ad is requested. An active Plus entitlement disables ads.

Young players

Rongowa is intended for ages 10 and up. Choosing an advertising age band is mandatory, without collecting an exact date of birth. Account rules and advertising protections remain separate.

Your rights

Account deletion is available in the app. Identity, sessions, devices and push tokens are deleted or anonymised. Some non-directly-identifying technical references remain necessary to preserve shared results. Deleting the account does not cancel an Apple or Google subscription, which must be managed separately in the store.

Privacy by design

Rongowa does not provide a public player directory or open chat. It does not use the microphone or geolocation. Purchases can be restored, and applicable advertising privacy choices can be reviewed in the app.
